Neural Leap Ventures is an American venture capital fund that uses a unique approach to take new AI technology to market. We enable our investors to have high upside potential for their portfolio while minimizing the downside risk. Book a call with us to learn more.
Never before has a technology been created that could augment or fully automate human labor itself in just about every industry in existence. According to the IMF global GDP in 2024 is projected to be $109.73 trillion dollars and it's estimated that 60% of this are labor costs.
Thats roughly $65.18 trillion dollars. A study by the management consult firm Mckinsey estimates that current AI technology can automate 30% of tasks performed by 60% of the labor force. Thats roughly $11.73 trillion dollars globally and thats assuming no rate of improvement.
Reuters estimates that $150 billion dollars was spent on artificial intelligence in 2023 and it is projected to grow to as high as $2.74 trillion by 2033. Investors who position themselves just right for this massive shift will stand to increase their portfolios at unprecedented speeds by unprecedented amounts.
AI is incredibly costly to get off the ground and a lot of companies struggle to monetize it for one core reason. Foundational AI models such as GPT-4 are good at doing a broad set of skills but not specific tasks very well. We like to use an analogy to help understand this better.
The people and the person who invented refrigeration made some money, but most of the money was made by Coca-Cola who used refrigeration to build an empire. We view these large language models as refrigeration. It's the infrastructure. It's the companies that build on top of this infrastructure correctly that will really monetize it well.
By knowing how to modify a foundational model correctly, it can be trained to do specific tasks much better than the original model and the cost to develop it is significantly less. Building a niche model on top of this infrastructure correctly takes much less data to train it to do a specific task which reduces the development time and cost overall.
Well here is another problem within the field of artificial intelligence that people don't realize. Only about 10,000 people in the world are capable of tackling serious AI research and most of that talent is siloed in Fortune 500 companies. That very reason is why we started Neural Leap about 5 years ago. We were founded by a team of former Fortune 500 machine learning and deep learning engineers from Google, Amazon, Meta, Netflix, and Apple.
We got our start developing artificial intelligence for OTHER companies to begin with. From self-driving car technology, to turning skin cells back into stem cells, to mining for rare earth minerals, to automating the entire field of software engineering, to bringing down the energy cost of microchips, we've been involved with just about every industry you can think of and have a team of over 500 deep learning engineers across the globe.
To date we have helped generate over $2.49 billion dollars in sales and have raised over $1 billion in capital from various ventures we have been apart of. We don't just know how to build cutting-edge artificial intelligence but we also know how to drive sales for it as well.
AI companies that were the most successful that we worked with were ones that already had a cash-flowing business and hired us to make a particular aspect of it more efficient through the creation of artificial intelligence. The main reason for this from what we saw is they were already generating a profit for what they wanted the artificial intelligence to do.
Additionally a few of these companies then went on to spin off the technology we created for them into its own startup as a separate entity. Think about the brilliance of that. Worst-case scenario they 10X the business they already have. Best case scenario they disrupt an industry and have a potentially very high growth startup.
As we started to see this pattern emerge more and more we started to invest some of our own capital into deals. Due to NDA agreements we can only discuss and disclose our holdings once you book a call with our team. Click the "Book A Call" button above to schedule a time that works best for you.
We started this venture fund due to running into one problem. We needed more capital to take our strategy to the next level and is why we opened it up to outside investors such as yourself.
We buy or invest in already cash-flowing businesses where artificial intelligence we create is able to augment or automate the labor by at least a factor of 10, use the profits from the business or 100% of the the money we invest to pay our own team to develop it, aim to sell the company or our position for a higher multiple than what we purchased it for within a short time span, and then spin off the technology into its own startup all under the ownership of the venture fund.
First, by having our own team create the technology we minimize the risk of getting it off the ground. Typical venture funds will invest in a new random team with every investment. Here we use the same team every time that has a track record of success.
Second, by building the artificial intelligence within an already cash flowing business we minimize the risk of being able to monetize it. It's already being monetized.
Lastly, by taking this strategy as a whole we have figured out a way to mitigate the downside risks of taking new AI technology to market.
Overall we have a way to provide consistent asymmetrical returns to investors within the greatest capital reallocation this world has ever seen before.
